For its 12th year, Niji Sushi will find out who Australia’s fastest sushi eater is! The record is 3:31 set by none other than J Webby Can Eat just last year, well clear of his nearest competitor.
This year the competition will once again be held at their Hurstville store, one not to be missed!
Amateur Contestants will have 10 minutes to finish 50 pieces of sushi and rolls, and 1 wasabi ball. The Professional Division will require eaters to eat 100 pieces of sushi and 2 wasabi balls. The competition will be fierce! And the prizes are amazing!
The Professional division will have a 1st place prize of $600, a 2nd place prize of $300, and for the first time a third place prize of $150. Finish 2 platters in 10 minutes and the $75 entry fee is reimbursed. Finish one platter in 10 minutes and $35 will be reimbursed.
The Amateur Division will have an increased 1st place prize of $300, with 2nd place getting $200. Finish the platter in 10 minutes and the $50 entry fee will be reimbursed.
