Rules (if applicable) : The Tet Festival 2017 Pho Eating Competition is organised by the Vietnamese Community in Australia – Victorian Chapter (VCA-Vic) Competitors to register and enter online. All information provided must be entered correctly. Any personal information provided will be used solely in connection with this competition. Competitors must pay for the bowl of pho at the participating restaurant to be eligible. Eligible entrants must submit a verified photo of their time with a staff member of the participating restaurant. Top competitors from participating restaurants will be contacted to attend and compete at the finals on Sunday 5th February 2017. If finalist is unable to attend the finals, they must notify organisers so that prizes can be allocated to the next best entrant. Finalists must attend finals to claim prizes. Competitors can enter multiple times at multiple restaurants. Finalists can only represent one participating restaurant. Finals: Finalists from all participating restaurants will compete to eat a bowl of pho in the fastest time. All the contents in the bowl must be completed. Representative from VCA-Vic to judge. All decisions are final. Prizes: Finalists will receive a finalist T-shirt. The Champion will receive a “pho passport”, receiving a free bowl of pho from all participating restaurants. A gift card valued at $500. Prizes are non-transferable. It is to be noted that the bowl of pho will be redeemable through the “pho passport”, issued in good faith by VCA-Vic in conjunction with the sponsor and will have both effective and expiry dates attached. Entries must be submitted by the 27/01/2017 to allow sufficient time for VCA-Vic to contact finalists. VCA-Vic has the right to decline any applications. VCA-Vic has the discretion to amend the format of the competition at any time.
How to enter (if applicable) : Rock up to a participating restaurant and let them know that you want to register for the pho eating competition. Buy your bowl of pho and time yourself eating it. Snap a photo of yourself with your time and a staff member (for verification) Get on to our website (tetfestival.com.au), fill in your details for registration and send us your photo or on facebook and instagram. Note: must #needphospeed and @tet.lunarfestvic Check the competition website to see whether you’ve made the leaderboard. Once registered, you can enter as many times and at as many restaurants as you like. Note: you can only represent one restaurant in the finals (if you make it)!
